First Annual -Youth Bike + Cycling Gear Swap / Sale

Make it stand out

Monday March 2, 2026 - 5:00-8:00 PM (at the Agave Room)

What is the Bike + Cycling Gear Swap?

The swap is a community event that supports getting used bikes and cycling gear passed between families within Northern Colorado.

It also serves as a fundraiser for Send Town Bike Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit offering youth cycling programs and events for young riders in the region.

It’s a chance to buy, sell, and swap new or used bikes, cycling gear, and apparel — all while supporting youth cycling in our community!

When and where is the event?

The event is Monday, March 2 and open to the general public from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

It will be held in the Agave Room at the Rio (Upstairs). The address is 49 W Mountain Ave, Fort Collins, CO.

When can sellers arrive?

Participants who plan to sell items may arrive as early as 4:15 PM to set up.

Is table space available?

Yes, thanks to the Agave Room space provided by the Rio, and tables provided by YourGroupRide.com, tables are available on first-come first-serve basis. Please be neighborly and support your fellow bike loving community members by making room for everyone to fit in!

What items can be bought or sold?

All cycling-related items are welcome, including:

  • Youth bikes, including: mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel, cyclocross, dirt jump bikes, and otherwise!

    • Remember the audience is from striders to adult-sized high school riders so some larger bikes are not out of the question!

  • Youth cycling gear such as hydration packs

  • Helmets (new or lightly used)

  • Cycling shoes

  • Apparel (jerseys, bibs, jackets, gloves, etc.)

  • Components (wheels, drivetrains, pedals, etc.)

  • Tools and accessories

  • Trainers, racks, and other cycling equipment that families with growing kids and budding athletes may be interested in!

If it’s bike-related and supports youth having adventures on bikes, bring it!

Please ensure that all items are clean, in good repair, and in ready-to-sell condition

How do sales work?

This is a peer-to-peer swap event:

  • Sellers are responsible for pricing their own items.

  • Sellers manage their own sales and swaps.

  • Sellers and buyers handle payment directly between one another.

  • Participants can consider making donations to Send Town Bike Club based on their sales

Accepted payment methods are up to each participant and may include:

  • Cash

  • Venmo

  • Other payment methods

Send Town Bike Club will not handle sales or process payments on behalf of participants.

Does Send Town Bike Club take a percentage of sales?

For this first annual swap, no percentage is directly taken. However, participants are encouraged to donate some or all of their proceeds to Send Town Bike Club to support youth cycling in our community.

Donations are accepted through venmo, paypal, ColoradoGives.org as well as cash/check.

Can I donate proceeds of my sales?

Yes, at your discretion, you can donate some or all of your sale proceeds directly to Send Town Bike Club.

Is this event only for those families in Send Town programs?

No! The event supports #morekidsonbikes in Northern Colorado and is open to the broader cycling community. Invite friends, teammates, neighbors, and anyone looking for great cycling gear.

Do I need to register to attend?

No registration is currently required to attend as a buyer or seller.
Sellers are encouraged to arrive early to secure setup space.

What should sellers bring?

  • Clean bikes, gear, and clothing in good repair and ready-to-sell condition.

  • A method to label each item with price (including free items)

  • Consider bringing extra paper, sharpie, and tape to make additional signs for payment and so forth!

  • A way to accept payment (cash, Venmo, etc.).

  • Small bills for change (if accepting cash).

Will Send Town handle sales and payment?

No, Send Town will not handle sales or process payments.  This is a peer-to-peer event, so participants are responsible for handling their own sales and processing payment.

Can I donate a bike for Send Town to sell at the swap or provide to an athlete in need?

Thanks for considering this! On a case by case, we accept bike donations. Please contact bikeswap@sendtown.org.

How do I know if items are in safe and working condition?

Buyers are responsible for evaluating the quality, condition, and safety of all items purchased. This is a peer-to-peer community event for exchanging used items, so participants are expected to exercise their own judgment.

Send Town Bike Club will not evaluate, does not warrant, and is not responsible for the quality, condition, or safety of any item bought or sold during the event

Why support Send Town Bike Club?

Send Town Bike Club provides youth with opportunities to build confidence, resilience, fitness, and lifelong friendships through cycling. Proceeds and donations from this event directly support programming, equipment, and financial assistance for riders.

Who can I contact with questions?

Please reach out to bikeswap@sendtown.org with any questions.

We hope to see you there — bring your gear, bring your friends, and help support youth cycling in our community!
