Ciclismo Enduro Program

Program Overview:

The Ciclismo Summer Enduro Program is offered in conjunction with the Cross Country (XC) program to provide a comprehensive training environment for gravity-focused athletes. Riders will train during the week with the XC program to build fitness and fundamentals, while Saturdays are dedicated exclusively to enduro-specific practices at discipline-appropriate venues.

This program is designed to help athletes improve enduro racing skills and performance through expert coaching, structured training, and potential racing opportunities.

Note: Enduro race weekend support is not included and is being evaluated as an additional option (see below)

Training Structure:

Weekday Training (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

  • Athletes train with the XC program on Tuesdays and Thursdays to develop aerobic fitness, strength, and technical foundations. Pack will train as an Enduro team group at XC practice times. 

Saturday Enduro Practices (Non-Race Weekends)

  • Dedicated enduro skills sessions at premier riding locations (e.g. Left Hand Canyon and other regional venues; travel required), including potential resort practice weekends (e.g. Trestle, Keystone)

  • Pack will hold practices on XC race weekends

  • Focus areas include descending technique, technical line choice, race tactics, and gravity-specific skills.

  • Coached by experienced enduro staff.

    • Practices begin April 14 and end July 23 (aligned with the XC program)

Equipment & Safety Requirements:

Mountain Bike Requirements

  • Minimum 140 mm rear travel

  • Minimum 150 mm front travel

  • Head tube angle of 66.0° or lower

  • Dropper post

Required Protective Gear (All Practices)

  • Enduro-rated knee pads

  • Trail-rated helmet

  • Eye protection

Additional Gear (Certain Practices & All Races)

  • Full-face helmet

  • Chest/back protector

  • Elbow pads

Lift-Accessed Practices

  • DH-certified full-face helmet required (ASTM F1952)

Athlete Expectations:

Athletes in the Enduro Program are expected to:

  • Meet minimum skill and safety standards as determined by the coaching staff

  • Embrace the team’s goals: have fun, build cycling expertise, develop life skills, foster community, and challenge themselves

  • Work toward skill development in drops, manuals, wheelies, step-ups, technical line choice, race tactics, basic bike repair, suspension setup, nutrition, and race preparation

  • Abide by the Code of Conduct and be a cooperative, positive group member, ready to have fun with others on bikes, and otherwise!

  • Follow the number one rule: Be respectful—to themselves, the environment, other trail users, teammates, and coaches at all times

Program Requirements & Details

  • Minimum Athletes Required: At least 10 athletes required for this program to proceed from waitlist; athletes otherwise participate in the XC program

  • Program Cost: $1,250.00 + processing fees per athlete (payment plan available within registration); Scholarships are available

Enduro Race Weekend Support TBD

Enduro race weekend support is not included in the above practice/training program and is being evaluated as an additional option. Participation in enduro races is optional and will be offered as a separate program and fee ($TBD). Staffing for this program is currently in development. If you have race day coaching recommendations, please contact Coach Andy. For supported race weekends, we aim to:

  • Provide professional pre-ride support and an on-site race coach

  • Coordinate shared lodging (VRBO or camping), with costs split among participants

Revolution Enduro Series (2026 – Tentative)

  • May – Glorieta, NM

  • Late July – Powderhorn, CO

  • Early August – Keystone, CO

  • Late August – Winter Park, CO

Race Requirements

  • Race entry fees and all related travel costs are the responsibility of each athlete/family

  • A valid USA Cycling license is required for weekend race events - NOT REQUIRED
