Spring Devo Mountain Bike Program
Ages 10-14+*; Coed
Program Info:
For athletes of all skill levels who are ready for more on the bike. More fun, more skill building, more fitness and more appreciation for the sport. Designed to develop confidence, self-reliance and ability through riding with peers in a supportive environment centered around respect. Explore new places outdoors, grow as an athlete and as an individual in a positive atmosphere. Groups are structured by age and ability.

*New-to-Devo athletes not yet in 6th grade are encouraged to submit registration but require coach approval to participate.
Practice Schedule & Locations:
Spring session dates: Weeks of March 30-May 11, 2025 (no practice on Easter Sunday)
Two days per week: Wednesday & Sunday practices
Program will end with a picnic on Sunday, May 17 at TBD
Weeknight practices are approximately 5:00-6:30 PM and held within Fort Collins and the greater area, which may include Lory State Park, Horsetooth Mountain Park, etc.
Weekend practices are approximately 9:30 AM-noon and may be held at locations outside of the Fort Collins area, including e.g. Laramie, Lyons, Boulder, etc.
Practices are held on singletrack trails, bike skills parks, other parks/grass, paved trails, gravel and other hard surfaces, both when weather is inclement and otherwise at the discretion of group coaches. It’s all about being on bikes together!
Athletes can expect 10+ mile rides with climbing demands
Athletes must:
Have motivation to mountain bike with group of friends/teammates, based on the noted mileage and climbing
Have a mountain bike with at least 26” wheels, gears and handbrakes (front suspension is highly recommended for safety reasons). It is your responsibility to ensure your athlete’s bike is safe and operable prior to the start of the program. If you or someone you know needs assistance getting a functioning bike, please reach out to devo@sendtown.org and we'll try to help.
Have a safe, properly fitted helmet, gloves, closed-toe shoes, eye protection and weather-appropriate clothing, including a raincoat and layers when appropriate + a way to carry these items as well as a spare tube, multi-tool and a pump or CO2.
Have proper gear for variable weather conditions or they will not be able to ride.
Abide by the Code of Conduct and be a cooperative, positive group member, ready to have fun with others on bikes, and otherwise!
Athletes are encouraged to attend races along with the team/other programs, if they are interested, but this is not required or expected
